Perfect spot within walking distance of beach. Has everything you need- wagon, chairs, and a heated pool. The bypass alarms on the doors were annoying but probably a saving grace for families with littles. Publix within walking distance as well as a plug to charge golf carts. Would definitely stay again.

My 20-year-old daughter and I spent spring break at Villa 2 - Shrimp and had a wonderful stay! Accommodations were newly-renovated, super clean, close to the beach and an easy walk to Publix and other shops/cafes. We appreciated having our own parking spot right beside our little bungalow; a beach chair; a place to hose off after walking back from the beach; and a lovely shared backyard pool. Other guests using the pool were friendly and respectful. Despite the busy-ness of the island at this time of the year, our little spot was quiet and private - loved that! The alarm system attached to the front door was cumbersome to use, but other than that, we thought everything was great and would return in a heartbeat.

Really nice private studio! great having access to a pool on the super crowded beach days. Our studio was tucked away so we didn't have a ton of traffic and it was quiet at night. We loved how close we were to the beach and Publix. Skinny Burgers is really close but the other good restaurants were about 5-6 minute drive.
Checkout and Check In times aren't super nice.
checking should at least be 2pm and checkout should be noon. Also thought was a little high for the space but we understand it was peak season.
Other than that a great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at Shrimps for a spring break vacation March 2024. We had a great time and the location could not be beat! 2 min walk to the beach. This is a studio, so compact, but had all that we needed as we spent a majority of our time outside, walking on the beach, going to restaurants and shopping! All that we needed for week stay. I would definitely recommend and look forward to our next vacation adventure!

Great spot! Maybe 5 doors down from beach....across street from Publix, Walgreens, Pizza place, Chinese, shopping. Quiet. Gorgeous lanscaping. Warm pool!![end of march] Perfect! Clean. Hiccup when we tried to check in...Apt 2 is not labeled clearly =Highly recommend a Numeral 2 on the gate. Very cute. New. Could use a shelf or 2 in bath for toiletries. Would definitely return!!

What a gem tucked away and close to the beach! The small bungalow was perfect for my wife and I -and our small dog! For a small space it works pretty well, the bathroom is a bit tight but manageable. Could use an extra coffee mug and towels -but otherwise perfect!

Wonderful location! Easy walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The villa is small, but it has everything you will need. I do wish there would have been an extra blanket available. The heated pool was so relaxing! Communication prior to my trip was excellent.
A couple of things to note: the front door is “loose.” I had to pull it forward to get it to unlock once I entered the code. Checkout is 10:00 am, and their email stated cleaners would arrive at 10:10. Well, the cleaning woman arrived at 9:35 and met me at my door. I felt rushed as she sat in her car waiting for me to load my belongings. They don’t offer a late checkout (FYI). The shower is mostly open and has a rainfall shower head with excellent pressure—loved this! The downside was most everything in the bathroom gets wet.

I loved that it was close to the beach. just walking distance and the room was super clean beautiful inside and out. the only down fall was the air conditioner wasn’t working properly and the communication for the code to enter room was not sent so I had to get in touch with the company to get it. We absolutely loved the shrimp villa! Had everything thing we needed and more. Clean, comfortable, and the hosts were very accommodating. Great communication easy check in. The place is steps to the beach and the pool was so beautiful. Really appreciated the beach chairs that were provided. Also loved having the ice and water built in the fridge. They provided a great binder in the room full of great information that was super helpful. The outdoor oasis they created with corn hole boards, grills, beautiful lounge chairs and outdoor dining area was incredible! Can’t say enough great things about this place. We will definitely be back. :)

We loved our stay here! The place is a bit more spacious than the pictures make it seem. It’s literally a minute walk to the beach! They have lounge chairs, a beach umbrella, and a wagon to pull your stuff. Perfect size for two people! We liked how clean and tidy the place was.

We stayed in the Shrimp Villa and it is shrimpy as in its studio size but certainly has everything you need to enjoy your AMI vacation. Their backyard paradise is beautiful and we were lucky to have the pool to ourselves during our stay being early the week. Location is perfect. You are five minutes or less from the nearest beach access, Manatee Beach which has the free trolley pickup spot, and grocery/convienence stores. They don't offer flexibility in regards to an early check in unless you reserve the night prior or there wasn't someone that checked out that morning possibly. Overall great stay and would recommend to others traveling to AMI. Also, make sure to visit Holy Cow Ice Cream :)

Location was fantastic! Loved the close beach access and that it was away from the busiest parts of the beach! Walking distance to restaurants and Publix a plus! Just be mindful if you plan to stay in and grill with the provided grills there aren’t any grilling utensils. That was truly the only down side we experienced! Communication was some of the best and quickest for any Airbnb we have stayed in. Would def recommend the SHRIMP to anyone just looking for a cozy spot to relax and enjoy some beach life!

We loved staying at this Airbnb! I expected the room to be small so was pleasantly surprised when it seemed a bit bigger than expected, with a full sized fridge in the fully equipt kitchen. Super clean and stylish. Me and my boyfriend loved hanging by the pool. The shared backyard is pretty beautiful with all the landscaping and multiple BBQs. Felt like we were in Hawaii. Highly recommend!

We stayed at The Shrimp with our toddler for a couple days and it was perfect!! The studio is very well designed, appliances are brand new, there are plenty of towels available. The pool is heated so we could also swim at night! I loved that they have sand toys, pool noodles and beach chairs. That would be nice if they could add some beach umbrellas for the guests.

Perfect place for our short staycation. Studio was clean, you could sense it as soon as you walked in. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen pretty much has everything you could need. Bathroom a bit tight but it worked out. Pool was nice as well as the "outdoor living room". Grills were available but we didn't use. Beach was just a short walk away. Good location!

This was exactly what we were looking for! The Shrimp was perfect for our stay! We didn’t need to speed a lot of time inside besides to sleep, shower, and eat! The rest of the time we were out at the pool, beach or out exploring! Even so, the property had everything we needed! It was about a 2 block walk to the beach and very close to stores if we needed to get anything! Also, the location is great to access different areas (about a 10-15 minute drive either way) to do some exploring of neighboring towns! Loved the slow paced, beach towns! So relaxing and exactly what we needed!

Our honeymoon was postponed until next year due to COVID-19. I happened upon AMI and I couldn't have been more satisfied. I, usually, go to the PCB, Mirimar, Destin area. This tiny house was perfect in size and location. We loved the location to Publix, Walgreens, and the trolley stop. We hope to visit again in the future.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Shrimp Villa #2 for a week in February. Although it is quite a small space, it worked out great for us! We loved the outdoor space and took full advantage of the heated pool and grills. It was really nice to have a full size fridge along with a stove and dishwasher - we ended up doing quite a few meals in. Not a lot of counter space to prep food but adequate kitchen supplies to make basic meals. In addition to the outdoor space, the other best part of this property was the proximity to the beach. We loved being able to walk over to the beach and it was great that the rental property had beach chairs we could bring along. We found all the beaches on AMI to be spectacular. The other nice thing about this property was how close it was to the Publix grocery store as well as a CVS and Walgreens among many other shops - all within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Anna Maria Island. The only thing we did not like about the Shrimp was the sheets on the bed were kind of scratchy and the fitted sheet did not seem to fit the bed properly - it kept coming off the mattress. However, the mattress itself was comfortable and it was nice to have a king size bed. As other reviewers have said, there isn't really any where to put away clothing (except a small space for hanging clothes) so we were mostly living out of our suitcases but that wasn't a problem for only staying for a week. The check-in process went really smoothly (we received a door code a week prior via email) and I was impressed when someone from AMI Locals called me the day before to make sure I had received the door code and had everything I needed to get into the property the next day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay in the Shrimp Villa #2 again!

The “Shrimp” is aptly named, but immaculate and charming. Both the host, Lisa, and AMILocals were very responsive and helpful. The property is beautifully landscaped and delightful. We would definitely stay again at this pet friendly offering, but probably in a slightly larger unit.

The Shrimp was a great room for our stay in AMI. We made a few meals in the kitchen area and the bed was big and comfortable. The shared pool area was nice and we had a little sitting area outside our door which was nice as well. Bathroom is a bit tight, which wasn’t a problem for us, but overall we had a great experience and it is a really great location only a block from the beach. Would definitely stay here again. The Shrimp (Unit 2) was a cozy couple's retreat at Christmas for us.
Central to everything AMI has to offer we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in paradise. The photos (while great) don't do this place justice. It's a gem in the sugar sand. We'll be back :)

We really enjoyed our time at this vrbo. The studio had everything we needed and was very clean. It’s less than a five minute walk to the beach, but because of the amazing heated pool we spent more time at the vrbo! We actually extended our time here because we enjoyed it so much and will definitely be back. I do agree with other reviews that the appliances are too large for the studio space though, and could have more storage area instead. The grill next to units 5 & 6 needs a cleaning as well as the lounge chairs.

Note to manager- unit 6 needs shower liner changed, it has mold/mildew on it. Bed in unit 6 not as comfortable as unit 2. Not back pain in unit 2. Unit 6 - my back hurt a little. Unit 6 rug needs to be cleaned had a lot of hair attached so I put it outside for our visit. Kinda gross. I cleaned pool one day, needed attention. Pool deck needs to be swept or blown off. Two cushioned need cleaned because of trees. Other than that it was great love the style and layout of the property

This little place is perfect for 2 people. This little place has everything you need in 215 sq. ft. The pool is also PERFECT. Huge deck surrounding the pool and the grounds beyond the deck is all turf with nice outdoor furniture and the perfect amount of palm trees. Spent a lot of nights outside on the couch looking at the stars and listening to the palm trees blow in the wind. I was a little worried about sharing the pool with the other people staying inside the resort, but it was NOT busy at all! There were a total of 3 people in the pool at once the whole week we were there. Lastly, the location is perfect as well! You're very close to Anna Maria if you want good beaches/food, and about the same distance from Bradenton Beach for a little more fun and more restaurants. I am in love with this place and will be back to visit! Lisa Coba (the property manager) was SO accommodating.
